Matching swirl and textured ceilings
Textured ceilings are where most patches fail. You can see the square. Our crews match swirl, orange peel, knockdown and smooth ceilings by hand so the repair blends with the room. It's the thing customers mention most in our reviews.
Find the cause first
If a stain or sag came from water, we make sure the leak has been fixed and the area is dry before we close it up. Otherwise the stain comes back. When it's a roof, plumbing or HVAC leak, we can document the damage for your insurance claim.
We protect the room
Ceiling work is messy. We cover floors, counters and furniture, contain dust, and clean up when we're done.
How we repair a ceiling
- Inspect the damage and the cause.
- Make sure any leak is fixed and the area is dry.
- Cut out damaged or sagging drywall back to sound material.
- Install new board and secure it to the joists.
- Tape and finish the seams.
- Match the texture: swirl, orange peel, knockdown or smooth.
- Prime, ready for paint.
Safety first with sagging ceilings
A ceiling that's bowing after a leak can be holding water and can come down without warning. Keep people and pets out from under it and call us.
What affects the price
We don't charge by the hour. Every job is quoted on its own. The things that move the number are:
- How big the damaged or new area is, and how many rooms are involved
- Ceiling height and access (stairwells and two-story rooms need staging)
- The texture or finish that has to be matched
- Whether the damage goes past the drywall into insulation or framing
- Drywall vs. plaster: plaster takes more skill and more steps
- Whether you want us to prime, or hand off to your painter
A photo texted to us is often enough for a ballpark. The written quote comes after we see it.

What customers say
The whole team at Patriot Drywall & Plastering were kind and professional. I also appreciated how well they communicated about timing, price, and what I needed to do to be ready for their arrival.
I was in need of a ceiling repair due to a roof leak. John and Daniel did a phenomenal job! I would highly recommend.
Questions we get
How should I get the room ready?
Clear the work area and the space around it as much as you can, and take down light fixtures in the work area beforehand. We bring every tool we need and cover floors and counters.
Do you clean up after?
Yes. We protect the space while we work and aim to leave it cleaner than we found it.
Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes. We work with insurance companies, homeowners, contractors, property managers and renters, and can document the damage and the repair for your adjuster.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every project is quoted individually, based on the labor time and materials it actually needs.
